Carbon nanotubes in biomedical applications: current status, promises, and challenges

In the past decade, there has been phenomenal progress in field of nanomaterials, especially area carbon nanotubes (CNTs). this review, we have elucidated a contemporary synopsis properties, synthesis, functionalization, toxicity, and several potential biomedical applications CNTs. Researchers reported remarkable mechanical, electronic, physical properties CNTs which makes their so versatile. Functionalization valuable modifying expanding applications, reducing toxicity. recent years, use grown exponentially as they are utilized drug delivery, tissue engineering, biosensors, bioimaging, cancer treatment. can increase lifespan drugs humans facilitate delivery directly to targeted cells; also highly efficient biocompatible biosensors bioimaging agents. shown great results detecting SARS COVID-19 virus treatment engineering is substantially required looking at present conditions. The concerns about include cytotoxicity faced vivo its high manufacturing cost discussed review.
